A Word From Our Clerk of Session

          By the time you read this, the pastor will be a month into his sabbatical. Rod will have made his visit to Iona in Scotland and seen the sights historical to the Clan MacDonald. He will be continuing his learning, relaxing and recharging.

          In the meantime, Rod's duties have been split amon the Session, the Deacons, and Trustees and several other earnest volunteers. A "chain-of-command" has been established and everyone knows what is expected of them while the Pastor is away.

          Even if you haven't taken on any extra tasks for this sabbatical period, there is a way you can be a great help. That is with your prayers.

          We need your prayers. Many of us are trying new and (somewhat) scary things this summer: Some of us will be preaching for the first time; others are going to be helping with hospital visits and sick calls; still others will be trying to hold down the fort and keep the paperwork flowing in a timely manner.

We simply cannot do all of this without your prayerful support. Please give the "Sabbatical staff" a moment of your time and energy. It doesn't have to be a long, profound prayer -- a simple "God, please, bless them in their work", will do very nicely. But we do need your prayers.
