A Litany for Peace

My Peace Vigil candle burns in the window
          O God, let the light be seen
The world stands on the brink of war
          O God, let the light be seen
Communities gather together
          O God, let the light be seen
Families and individuals pray for peace
          O God, let the light be seen
Send an angel of healing to your world
          O God, let the light be seen
Bless our leaders with your grace
          O God, let the light be seen

Merciful, loving God, you call us to lead others to your truth. Help us now as we strive to be your means of peace for our families, our nation and our world. In Jesus' name. Amen.
