As you may know, we are using a new CE curriculum this year, "Seasons of the Spirit." One of the supplemental materials provided for the program is a current-event page they call "Spirit Sightings".
This page links news items witht the lectionary readings for the week. Included in the page are questions for discussion and prayer links.
I have used them for the Advent Season and the Adult Sunday School class, but others may find them useful for their own reflections.
You may access the web page at: www.spiritseasons.com and follow the links to Spirit Sightings
Hope you find this helpful!

Part of our Christmas joy was in being able to share with the Nordman family in providing a package of care to Eric's brother Kurt and his Army unit stationed in Afghanistan. Actually, there were 45 individual packages, one for each member of the group. Members made Christmas greetings at our Advent Event, and shopped for such things as toiletry items of use in the field and candy. Eric and Lisa bagged and packaged it all, and it was off to Afghanistan!
