Freezing Fun

If you think you've spotted polar bears running around the church, it may just be the Kidz Comings youth. During the deep freeze of January, we traveled to the Weston Middle School (indoor) pool for fun splashing, diving, and playing with a beach ball. Though our first attempt at an International Dance Night was snowed out, we have rescheduled and hope that by the time you read this we'll have gathered to learn dances from Ireland, Ghana, Israel, and the USA. Next up, we hope to work out a visit to the Burlington Science Center, where we'll meet their live animals.

The Kidz balance their fun activities with service activities, too. The December auction of gingerbread houses built by Kidz Comings and Cool Comings yout raised $171.50 for Habitat for Humanity. This spring, we'll be decorating jigsaw puzzle greeting cards for the Deacons adn Membership Committee to send to children who are under the weather or who have visited church recently. We'll also bake cookies to be served at The Dwelling Place.

All youth in grades 2-5 are invited to join in the fun. For more information contact the webmaster@burlingtonpres.org.

Prayer at the Close of Day

to be a Monthly Event
Second Wednesdays

7:30PM

Because it was found to be a source of spiritual support by many during the last Lenten season, Session has decided to offer services of evening prayer on a once-a-month basis. The emphasis will again be on quiet reflection and prayer, with opportunity for individual prayers for healing and peace. Music will be included, in the same spirit.

If you would like to be part of leading, or providing music for, these services, please contact Brenda Flynn, Joan Ross, or Rod MacDonald. Do consider bringing a friend who might be searching for the peace that God can give.

Come Sing With Us!!!!

The Chancel Choir has decided to learn and present Handel's Hallelujah Chorus for Easter. Although it is expected that any congregation members will sing along, we are inviting interested singers (ability to read music is NOT required) to join us. Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 8 pm. If you are only interesting in the Hallelujah Chorus, we will probably not get to that until about 9 pm. If you need the music of more information, contact organist Nancy Timmerman at ntspe@aol.com
